Job Title: Chef

Job Summary

• We are seeking a skilled and passionate Chef to manage kitchen operations and ensure the preparation of high-quality, delicious meals.
• The ideal candidate will have experience in diverse cuisines, strong leadership skills, and a deep understanding of food safety, kitchen hygiene, and production efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare a variety of dishes based on the menu and customer preferences.
• Ensure food is cooked and presented according to quality standards and consistency.
• Supervise kitchen staff and delegate tasks to maintain a smooth workflow.
• Maintain stock levels and assist in ordering food and supplies as needed.
• Enforce food safety standards and sanitation procedures.
• Monitor food costs and portion control to minimize waste and manage expenses.
• Collaborate with the team to create new recipes and seasonal specials.
• Ensure proper functioning of kitchen equipment and report maintenance issues.
• Train and mentor junior kitchen staff.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in all kitchen areas.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Chef or Cook in a professional kitchen.
• Culinary school diploma or equivalent experience.
• Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, cooking techniques, and food presentation.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Good understanding of food cost control, stock management, and kitchen hygiene.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Preferred Skills:

• Multicuisine experience (local & continental dishes is a plus).
• Ability to develop new dishes and innovate with ingredients.
• Familiarity with dietary restrictions and allergy protocols.
• Experience in catering or large-volume food production (if applicable).
