African Export Import Bank (Afreximbank) was established in Abuja, Nigeria in October, 1993 by African Governments, African private and institutional investors as well as non-African financial institutions and private investors for the purpose of financing, promoting and expanding intra-African and extra-African trade.

The Bank, headquartered in Cairo, the capital of the Arab Republic of Egypt, commenced operations on 30 September, 1994, following the signature of a Headquarters Agreement with the host Government in August, 1994. It has branch offices in Harare, Abuja and Abidjan and will open an East Africa branch office shortly.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Analyst, Regional Operations (Francophone West Africa Regional Office), Client Relations

Job Summary

  • The Analyst, Regional Operations (FWAF Regional Office) provides essential administrative, secretarial, protocol, and business support services to ensure the effective functioning of Afreximbank’s West Africa Regional Office, based in Abidjan. 
  • Reporting to the Regional Chief Operating Officer (RCOO), the role supports both internal branch operations and external representation duties, while also assisting in business development performance tracking and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities
Executive & Administrative Support:

  • Serve as Personal Assistant to the RCOO, managing calendar, correspondence, meetings, travel arrangements, and preparation for engagements.
  • Draft communications and correspondence on behalf of the RCOO.
  • Coordinate branch workflow between internal teams, headquarters, clients, and external service providers.

Document Management & Reporting:

  • Maintain standardized document management, filing, and archiving systems in both hard and electronic formats.
  • Support monthly performance reviews, data reporting, and compilation of business development materials.
  • Prepare and format official documentation including reports, presentations, memos, and term sheets.

Business Support & Marketing:

  • Assist with the preparation of the regional strategic and marketing plans.
  • Support client relationship officers with logistics, correspondence, event planning, and general business development activities.
  • Manage and update the branch resource center and marketing material stock.

Office & Events Management:

  • Oversee front desk services, guest reception, and event logistics for meetings, conferences, and roadshows.
  • Manage all office mail and courier services, meeting room bookings, and internal event logistics.
  • Coordinate corporate travel arrangements, ensuring compliance with Bank policy and high service standards.

Protocol & Diplomatic Services

  • Handle processing and renewal of diplomatic IDs, permits, visas, airport passes, and official clearances for staff and delegations.
  • Coordinate with government bodies and embassies, ensuring diplomatic protocols are followed for incoming/outgoing staff and VIP guests.
  • Manage clearances for diplomatic shipments and arrange high-level reception protocols.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience
Educational Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and Postgraduate Degree in Business Administration, Banking, Finance, or related discipline from a recognized university.

Experience:

  • Up to 1 year of professional experience, preferably in financial services or an international organization.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems like Salesforce, and strong skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Languages:

  • Fluent in English with working knowledge of French or Arabic; fluency in multiple Afreximbank official languages is a plus.
